1st week weigh-in
Yesterday was my "first week" weigh-in for Weight Watchers. I lost 0.2 lbs, which isn't a lot, but it's a start and it is better than gaining so I will take what I can get!!

Salad time!
I was able to force down this salad at dinner tonight. Since I'm not a veggie fan, I'm going to say that this plain looking plate is pretty good. And as you can tell from my picture, I'm not a fan of dressing either. I did use maybe 1/2 tsp of Fat Free French dressing to give it just a little flavor. I wonder how many more of these I can force down until it starts to get easier........
Skinny Cow ice cream
I'm sitting here flipping through a magazine when I came across a picture ad for Skinny Cow for their new cups of ice cream. I decided to figure out the point values of these delicious cups of goodness and am so happy that I did!! I've only had 2 of the flavors but can tell you that they are VERY good!! I recommend the Carmel Cone flavor! Here are the flavors offered and their point value! Enjoy!!
Skinny Cow
Carmel Cone - 3 pts
Cookies n' Cream - 2 pts
Strawberry Cheesecake - 2 pts
Chocolate Fudge Brownie - 2 pts
Dulce de Leche - 2pts

Must.....have....fooood!
Two more days until my first full week of Weight Watchers is complete. I'm not going to lie, this is pretty hard stuff! I get more points than the average bear, yet I'm still feeling so incredibly hungry! I wonder how many points my arm is worth.
I believe it's harder for a picky eater to diet because we don't have many options of "healthy" foods to eat because we don't like them.
I did manage last night to get down a few green beans, I didn't even realize I was eating them without any problems. Maybe I'll finish off the five or so beans I've got left in my baggy at work. Thankfully they are in raw form because if they were cooked I wouldn't be getting anywhere near them! YUCK!

It's watching........
June 21, 2010 & snacking idea
So far so....okay today? I had a SmartOnes egg white and cheese english muffin for breakfast (3 points), and for lunch I had 3 slices of a Totino's pepperoni pizza. A full serving is 4 slices worth 9 points!!, I had 3 so for that I am going to deduct a point (not sure if I can or not), and call it an afternoon with 8 points for that. I just finished off a small granny smith apple, so my total so far for the day is: 12 points. I brought a bag of food to work for dinner which will consist of: SmartOnes 3 cheese mac and cheese, a pork chop with BBQ rub (approx 3-4 oz.), a Weight Watchers key lime pie yogurt, and a small handful of green beans; I say small because I'm not a veggie lover/eater. Here's to hoping I'm not ready to eat the house when I get home!!
Snack: My local Kroger grocery store carries fruit leathers in the organic section. They come in a variety of flavors but ours only carry: grape, cherry and strawberry. Each fruit leather is work 1 point and they are very tasty!! If you are interested, click on the Kroger above to find your local store, or check out the Stretch Island Fruit Company site for more information!!

A trick for "no guilt" pasta sauce
According to my WW guide, tomato sauce and paste are "0" points..."free" food. If you want your pasta, just make your own sauce! I can bet the point value of your home-made sauce will be LESS than what you'd get from a pre-made jar sauce. Plus, for an even healthier sauce, Hunt's offers "no salt added" tomato sauce, and used to offer the same in paste.
From here, you can add in your own spices for flavoring or you can opt for the already flavored Hunt's sauce instead of the no salt added. Your only points so far it looks like is in the pasta itself. If you want to add bread to dip in the sauce, you can always use regular sandwich bread, but remember to use whole wheat. So now you only have two sources of point value - pasta and bread! Add a small side salad or some vegetables and you've got yourself a pretty darn good meal!!
For more information on the above products, visit your local grocery store or visit these helpful websites at the links I've posted below!
